I made a reservation for dinner

Nanbu folk cuisine Kura

It’s built like an old house

The ceiling is low

The stairs are steep

Only tatami rooms are available, so my hips hurt

Draft beer, highball

Toast with lemon sour

Scallops with crab miso

Braised bracken

Squid somen

Assorted sashimi

Deep-fried squid

Grilled salted mackerel is huge!

Strawberry soup (sea urchin and abalone)

My stomach is full and I’m in pain (^_^;)

Aomori gourmet tour

& surf trip

After surfing, we went to Itabashi Chinese Noodles in Misawa City, Aomori Prefecture

Second group waiting inside the restaurant

Extremely dried sardine ramen, large serving
Boiled egg
3 types of green onions (long green onion, small green onion, onion)

The rich flavor of the dried sardines and the green onions matched very well

The polite service made it a comfortable place

今回の旅程では
波のサイズは期待できない

八戸市 種差海岸へ

白い灯台と
緑の草原
青い海が美しい

種市海浜公園 江戸々浜

ほぼショアブレイクのみ

ここでローカルの方に
話しかけると
ノースラインのオーナーさんが
入っているので
呼んであげると

ご挨拶させていただいて
電話のお礼と色んなお話しを

三沢方面に行った方が
良いとのことで
急いで北上する

When I talked to a local here, the owner of North Line was there, so I called him over

I said hello to him, thanked him for the call, and we talked about various things

He said it would be better to go to Misawa, so I hurried north

A certain point in Misawa City

A beautiful break up to chest height

I said hello to the locals and headed to the sea

All I needed was a 2mm full suit

Even though it was a Saturday, there were only five people

so I got to ride a lot

My first time surfing in Aomori

Thank you to all the Misawa locals

The rental Yaris Cross was a compact car that could fit me (182cm), my wife (170cm), my 6’1″ shortboard, and a medium-sized Rimowa suitcase

and it was a good car with a crisp ride

三沢駅に隣接
三沢空港から13分

作りは古さを感じるので
元々は違うホテルを
リノベーションしたのかな？

ちょうちんの通路など
見せ方が上手い

This time, we stayed at Aomori-ya by Hoshino Resorts, next to Misawa Station, 13 minutes from Misawa Airport, and the building looks old, so I wonder if it was originally a different hotel that was renovated? The vast grounds have several hotel buildings and baths, and the basement has blacked-out walls and ceilings, and is well presented with a souvenir shop, buffet, izakaya, and a corridor lined with lanterns.

予約なしで大丈夫

昨日カノアを預けた
ペットホテルから
今朝写真付きで
メールが届く

目がウルウルで
さみしいのかな？

煮干しラーメンがちと苦手

煮干しの香り コクが楽しめる
さらりとしたスープでうまい

煮干しラーメンは細麺が多い

こちらは中太麺で食べ応えあり

チャーシュー メンマ 煮玉子も

I’m always alone on overseas surf trips, so I gave my wife a delicious trip as a gift

The roads were clear, so I was relieved

Falling asleep immediately
Arrived in no time

Everyone moves briskly and efficiently

I don’t really like thick dried sardine ramen like cement

This one has a smooth soup with a rich dried sardine aroma

Dried sardine ramen has a lot of thin noodles

This one has medium-thick noodles and is filling

The char siu, bamboo shoots, and boiled egg are well prepared and delicious

My wife’s light ramen is really light and a little unsatisfying

The dried sardine furikake that comes with the rice is rich and delicious

I woke up at 4:00 and finally got to eat lunch

A bowl of delicious ramen that I want to eat again right away

エアポートライトへ

セット頭
サイドオフの風が
強くて水面がバンピー

テイクオフしてから
すぐ横へ
コブを潰すように
パンピングすると
ロングライド出来る

ようやくコツを掴んで
慣れてきたところで
今回最後のサーフィン

On this day, we went to Airport Light with our surf guide Agung.

The wind was strong off the side and the water was bumpy.

After taking off, we went sideways and pumped to crush the bumps, which allowed for a long ride.

We finally got the hang of it and were getting used to it, so it was the last surf of the day.

The lamb was stewed until tender and delicious

Back at the hotel, I cooled down with a Bintang beer while soaking in the pool

First time in Bali in 9 years

Ride-hailing app Grab is super useful for transportation

I used cash for the boat and warung photographer

I couldn’t go to Uluwatu this time, so I want to try again next time

I’m relieved that I was able to finish safely without any injuries
